My first sale!!

Today is a monumental day, one that will go down in history as the Beginning. You see, the website has been up for a month and because of the lack of attention given to it by yours truly, it hasn’t generated a real buzz.

My facebook friends see it and gave it the initial interest probably as a friendly gesture because they know me, but there’s admittedly a lack of killer content to keep them hooked! My experience level on webpage design on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 2, maybe hire a specialist? Nah!!! then i’ll never learn if i let somebody else do it for me. Not making excuses , YES I AM MAKING EXCUSES! so what I’m out 3 weeks at a time driving 10-11 hours a day. It’s a little challenging but so what if i want it i have to go for it

Any way, I’m home on vacation laying around trying to find motivation to write and the phone rings it’s my friend Terry who’s also a truck driver like myself. Terry has published an autobiography titled “Who am I?”which is for sale on Amazon. He asks me how is my blog and copywriting doing? and also for the address for the website so he can see my works, we talk for a bit then call it a night.

2 hours later i get a notification on my phone “Congratulations on your 1st sale!” HUH?? so i check the message and its from my website, It was Terry he subscribed to my website. I started to drop to the floor and do the WORM! I was sooooooooooo happy i seal clapped lol lol It’s $2.00 a month but it’s my 1st sale so i’ll never forget it. Energized!, i immediately started writing!

Otr living

Over the road truck driving is not a job it’s a lifestyle. As I am halfway through my second year it’s a journey that’s still unfolding and interesting

As I drive across the country a lot of places are now repeat trips meaning I’ve been there before so the novelty is wearing off and it actually feels like a regular job now

What has happened was the isolation made me internalize and focus on self improvement with a laser beam focus especially at my age with an eye towards retirement

So now I’m not just in amazement there’s actually goals to be met in the very near future meaning I’m on a microwave mindset

My mindset has evolved into a maddening focus on acquiring a new skillset to make money besides driving. I stopped watching Tv as a result, haven’t gone fishing in about 3 months can’t remember the last time I turned my playstation on!

I’m changing by the day, my sole focus is youtube, it’s become my main outlet from driving so much that I’ve started a website and a blog plus enrolled in a copywriting course Jeez!!!😳

I’ve actually started reaching out to childhood friends and family. Funny how the isolation changes you it’s making me evolve into a better person hopefully!

Seeing the country is cool especially never previously been anywhere outside of New York. This is a beautiful country that I took for granted. Now that I have been to some places I have a greater appreciation of traveling, having the opportunity to see the country is very underrated

Personal goals that once were a pipe dream are now very attainable but here I go again with the age factor!! As long as I’m still in relatively decent health I will be able to achieve my life time goal of home ownership before I go God willing

Manual transmissions are dinosaurs!

Sadly there days are numbered

Your company has been around for 75 years and has a very good reputation, but it’s no secret over the last decade the technology is advancing rapidly .Most of the well established companies like yourselves are losing a significant share of the market to companies using auto’s

Todays new breed of drivers mostly drive auto’s which are easier to drive, better gas mileage and shift better. This new technology is making it easier to attract and retain new drivers. Sure you still have a lot of diehard old school shifters who still cling to their manuals, but there’s no denying the auto’s are here to stay! 85% of new trucks are auto’s! Most of the new breed of driver’s of which a very large percentage are woman have never been exposed to manuals. The driver shortage has impacted the industry to the point truck makers are adapting and the market is in auto’s

Creative Financing: I’ts not as hard as you think!

What if i told you there’s a way for you to buy a house with no money down and zero interest for up to 18 months. Many people want to realize their dream of homeownership but might have decent credit but not enough capital for the down payment. Traditionally you would need good credit (676-750), and 20% down or you could do the FHA route with decent credit (580-620) with 3.5% down but with FHA you have to have the(PMI) private mortgage insurance which could tack on 200.00 bucks a month to your mortgage

Creative financing lets you think outside the box and come up wth non traditional ways to fund real estate investing. Investors leverage their credit to buy property ,using business credit in ways to get the best deals. Having good personal credit is a no brainer in the real estate game so it goes without saying most people who buy and sell properties will probably have access to business credit as well. That is the solution

If you’re interested in buying property but don’t have the great credit and or the big down payment but don’t want the hassle of FHA pmi, credit card financing is one way of doing it! Using a personal credit card is one option if you have high limit cards, the problem though is personal cards tend to have low limits, high interest rates, and report to the credit bureaus. If you liquidate a credit card the utilization will be very high (over 30%) and will tank your score. Which in turn will exclude you from getting the best interest rates.

Business credit cards however tend to have high limits and don’t report to the same personal card bureaus. A lot have introductory perks like 0% interest rates plus business card lenders actually encourage spending meaning you can max out a card without it getting reported.Underwriters can’t see this activity

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
